Extrication Training
July, 2011

LREMS members recently conducted training at the Robeson Community College Emergency Services Training Center on NC72 east of Lumberton. The purpose of the training was refresh members in proper extrication techniques. Two scenarios were conducted, one being a vehicle overturned on the driver, pinning him under the vehicle. The second was a vehicle on it’s side with two occupants entrapped inside the vehicle. The crews on both crash trucks responded to the scenarios and initiated operations to free the victims. The scenarios were a great learning tool and an after incident briefing was held to discuss each evolution. Thanks to those LREMS members who participated in the drill.
