Pin-in with One Ejected

Rescue 1 was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision
with a pin-in. Upon arrival of Rescue 110 and Medic 145, a
Mazda pick-up truck had collided with a tree. One passenger
of the truck was ejected. The driver of the truck was pinned
in, with his foot jammed underneath the brake pedal. Rescue
1 personnel used the Jaws of Life system to extricate the
driver in fifteen minutes. Rescue 1 was assisted by Station
16 (Northwoods), Robeson County EMS, and the Robeson County
Sheriff’s Office.
