Rescue 1 Responds to
Entrapment

Rescue 1 was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision
involving two vehicles on NC 211 west of Lumberton in front
of Graceland Texaco. Rescue 110, Rescue 112 and Medic 145
responded. Upon arrival, the female driver of one of the
vehicles was entrapped. Rescue 1 personnel used the Jaws of
Life to create a door flap on the driver’s side to gain
access to the driver. The driver was transported to UNC
Chapel Hill by UNC Aircare, which had been requested to
respond to the scene. Rescue 1 was assisted by Robeson
County EMS, Station 29 (Saddletree FD), and the NC Highway
Patrol.
