9/11 Memorial Program
September 11, 2011

Lumberton Rescue and EMS, along with Lumberton Police Department and Lumberton Fire Department, were honored at a program sponsored by the City of Lumberton and Biggs Park Mall. The program was held in remembrance of the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2001, when America was attacked on its own soil. Each department was presented a plaque, and remarks were given by representatives of each. Mayor Raymond Pennington served as the master of ceremonies. The JROTC of Lumberton High School presented the colors, and Ms. Victoria Huggins sang the national anthem. LREMS wishes to thank the City of Lumberton Recreation Department, and the staff of Biggs Park Mall, for putting this event together in recognition of our first responders.
